I'm sharing an older project here, done last year. It's my second painted force for Pulp City, one of favourite miniatures game. This crew is composed of various unaffiliated vilains, that came together under the leadership of 100 Voices, the mad mastermind. It contains some of the initial models that got me in the game, way back, in Vector and Kitty Cheshire. It was time to finally put paint to them.
I love Pulp City not only for the gameplay, but for the hobby side also. The sculpts are chunky but well detailed, and a blast to paint. For someone who gets bored painting units of similar dudes, a super heroes game with all different style really helps. I also went all in on the colourful and flashy, to contrast with the way more grim 40k Death Guards I was painting around the same time.
I probably won't play this crew that much as is, however. I love the leader 100 Voices' sculpt, but he plays a strong control game, making the opponent loses action, and even activating the opposing models. I know it's a valid way to play, it's just not one I enjoy so much. I'm sure he will hit the table once in a while, but after my first game, I knew I would need to add some extra models to not play him all the time.
