New Xenos Kill Teams Revealed (Part Two)
Yesterday we looked at some of new Kill Teams that have been previewed by Games Workshop. Today we'll look at a few more.
Everyone's second-favourite skeletal robots, the Necrons are always worthy opponents. This new Kill Team—Known as a Hierotek Circle—is no exception. Living Metal allows them to heal wounds and, even if you do manage to incapacitate a Hierotek Circle operative, they can be returned to the fray thanks to the Necrons' Reanimation Protocols. If that weren't bad enough, attacks such as Tesla Wave allows members of the Hierotek Circle to collectively attacks anybody foolish enough to charge them, and Living Lightning gives their tesla carbines a welcome blast radius attack.
Genestealer cults, meanwhile, remain an insidious presence within the Imperium of Man. Even soldiers from the Astra Millitarum have been seduced by the promises of the Genestealers, creating sleeper cells of Brood Brothers sworn to resist imperial rule. Such cells can gain and use Crossfire tokens to wear down even the most robust enemies. Cult Talismans, meanwhile, allow cultists to retain and upgrade successful defence dice, and Insidious increases the mobility of cult members by granting free Dash actions.
The Leagues of Votann are about to make their weighty presence felt with two new Kill Teams: the Hearthkyn Salvagers and Hernkyn Yaegirs. The former are pugilistic brawlers who don't forgot an unfriendly face, using as they do Grudge tokens to gain buffs when attacking an enemy who has incapacitated a fellow Salvager. They can also use Excavation Tools to secure objectives with greater speed and ease than their opponents.
In contrast to the Salvagers, the Hernkyn Yaegirs are redoutable skirmishes who use speed and close range weapons to subdue their enemies. The gain and use Resourceful tokens to heal wounds or gain buffs. They also use Dauntless Explorers to surge toward and seize objectives with surprising speed.
