New Loyalist Space Marine Kill Teams Revealed
Games Workshop have been teasing us for the past few days, but they're finally revealed their new Space Marine Kill Teams. So, if you like your Marines to be of a loyalist persuasion, here's the info we've been waiting for:
The Angels of Death are flying the flag for the new Space Marines rules. As with all Space Marines in the new edition of Kill Team, the Angels of Death benefit from the new Chapter Tactics rule; this new rule allows players fielding Space Marine Kill Teams to customise the way their team operates by picking two Chapter Tactics from a list of Aggresive, Resolute, Stealthy and Hardy. Furthermore, Space Marine Kill Teams have the Astartes key word, which allows them to shoot or fight twice in the same turn. If that wasn't bad-ass enough, Space Marines not only benefit from a variety of other buffs granted by Combat Doctrines, but also their purity seals allow them to convert two or more failed rolls into one success.
Phobos Strike Teams remain a little sneakier than many of their Space Marine brethren. Their Multi-Spectrum Arrays allow them to ignore penalties for shooting obscured targets, and their Omni-Scramblers impede their enemies' ability to activate. Better yet, their Special-Issue Ammunition makes a mockery of enemy armour, and Patient Ambush allows Strike Team members to belay their activations.
The new rules for Space Marine Scouts, meanwhile, allow the sneaky so-and-sos to set a selection of traps before the battle even begins. They retain the use of their tried and trusted camo cloaks, and the new Gunfire Ambush rule makes them stone-cold killers when concealed.
That concludes this round up of the new loyalist rules. Check back later this evening to read about the new Chaos Kill Teams.
