Games Workshop are preparing to release the next KIll Team expansion.
Entitled Blood and Zeal, this new release features two brand new kill teams. These include 11 devout ecclesiarchal militiamen known as Sanctifiers, and a squad of eight ferocious Goremongers.
The Sanctifiers are led by a Confessor, and includes nine other bible / heretic-bashers and a sweet little cherub.
And in the chaotic corner, we have eight Goremongers, including an Impaler, a Skullclaimer, a Stalker, an Inciter, a Blood Taker and two aspirants*. They are led by a fiercesome Blood Herald.
*Always take with water. Never exceed the maximum stated dosage. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
The expansion also contains a big ol’ sheet of tokens and the Blood and Zeal Dossier. This sourcebook is loaded with not only missions and a hobby guide, but also lore, new rules and mechanics. These new mechanics chiefly concern how to use the new and enclosed deck of Blood and Zeal cards, which is used in-game and may either bestow good luck, or inflict a grievous reversal of fortune.
Lastly, the set includes a truly striking shrine statue, This beauty will act as a fabulous centrepiece for many a game of 40k. Personally, I was in two minds as to whether or not I would buy this set, but damn…
…That statue, right?
