Games Workshop Preview New Aeldari Kill Teams.
The Eldar / Aeldari have remained a fan-favourite since the RT04 Space Elves debuted in 1987. They've now been updated yet again for the new edition of Kill Team.
As with previous editions, the Aeldari eschew the heavy armour favoured by some of their victims in return for supreme speed. Combine this with their incredible skill, and you can see why they remain one of the deadliest species in the 40k universe.
The new edition of Kill Team brings us three new Aeldari teams. Each enjoys its own faction rules, specialised gear, and Ploys. The Voidscarred Corsairs, for instance, are swift and accurate. Each model can perform one free Dash action per round or, if it hasn't yet moved, can fire a rifle with increased accuracy. As if this wasn't bad enough, they're also able to use Opportunistic Fighters to pick off retreating foes. Way Seekers and Soul Weavers, meanwhile, can use their psychic abilities against targets at a greater range thanks to the Runes of Guidance rule.
The Drukhari Hands of the Archon, meanwhile, gain a variety of buffs such as Prey on the Wounded, Power From Pain, Dark Animus and Vitalised Surge when they hurt an enemy, and their melee weapons can do increased damage via Toxin Coating.
The Blades of Khaine are made up of old favourites such as Striking Scorpions, Howling Banshees, and Dire Avengers. Each of these may use the unique Aspect Techniques Merciless Strike, Scream-That-Steals and Death of a Thousand Blades to gain various bonuses and effects. They can also swap places on the battlefield and manipulate their initiative rolls to either gain or lose the initiative as they see fit.
