I saw this RPG mentioned on a BlueSky post, so I spent some time reading up on it as I'd never heard of it (unusual for me as I'm a nutter for RPG's - especially Indie/Small Print).
So, I picked up the PDF's from DTRPG, and spent last night reading the Core Book (Heirs to Heresy), plus a support book recently released Faith & Fear. The publisher is the well known Osprey Games (Frostgrave, Stargrave etc).
From the blurb about Heirs to Heresy:
You are one of the thirty Knights Templar who awoke on Friday, 13 October 1307, only to find themselves wanted criminals and branded heretics by the King of France. Abandoned by the Vatican and sent away early in the morning, you must leave Paris on a day of reckoning and try to find your way across a dark, mythic Europe to a mystical utopia where you can rebuild!
What I liked about it, after playing numerous VIdeo Games with Templars as the good, or the bad folk it was just interesting to read up about them with a game based on History with other fantasy elements, such as Dragons, Ghosts and other Supernatural beings.
The most refreshing thing, and keeping in step with modern games, you can play any gender or race, you just pick your background like everyone else.
Right, back now to reading the Faith & Fear book, then to think about if I want to run it, or play it.
