Body
Last year we released the most perfectest version of the Paranoia RPG ever! We call this the All New Shiny Edition, which I'm sure you agree.
So what is Paranoia (apart from it being a Roleplaying Game?) - we're glad you asked.
In this darkly humorous roleplaying game, The Computer loves you but it is insane happy. You will be sent on impossible glamorous missions filled with Catch-22s fun and satire safety. Your teammates are out to kill support you, and you are out to kill protect them. All in all, your missions will be dangerous entertaining and you will likely die be promoted.
Originally released way back in 1984, it has continued to entertain players around the world and what better way now of letting you know all about it and of course, you buying and playing it.
Unlike other Roleplaying Games, we recommend that all the players (not just the GM) buy the products, we just ask players to not read anything if they're to play a Troubleshooter and not GM the game. That would be silly.
The system of Paranoia is also silly simple. You play as a Troubleshooter with a clearance level and are given tasks by friend computer to make life in Alpha Complex better for all citizens. A Task roll is your Attribute and the Skill required, which when rolled give a number of successes, but you also roll a computer dice and if that rolls the Computer Eye, the Computer is watching you and your Treason level increases.
Enough of the detail, this is perfect and we know you want in, so why don't we now show you what fun you can have!
Here's a summary of what we have so far:
Paranoia Core Book
This is one of those rulebooks that’s fun to read and even more fun to play. Paranoia does not take itself seriously, so we can find dark humour in bureaucracy, politics, businesses, and a lot more. No sacred cows but one–make sure the GM and players are all having a great time. Is that not refreshing for a roleplaying game? Maybe that is why this science fiction RPG has won lots of awards over the years.
The Accomplice Book
Of course, the Paranoia Core Book is perfect. Maybe even the perfectest. But you know what would make that even more perfecter? A companion book! But since this is Paranoia, it is called the Accomplice Book.
Brave New Missions
You wanna play Paranoia? Congratulations! You are superior to other gamers and have great taste. You even look sharp.
404 Compendium
Like most RPGs, missions (AKA adventures) are the bread-and-butter of Paranoia. After all, you cannot play without a mission to run through. That said, what about non-mission ideas?
Citizen In Name Only <-- Most recent release
The Computer rules Alpha Complex. FCCCP is a secret society that worships The Computer as a god. What happens when one of the many FCCCP popes decides she can rule Alpha Complex better than a god? Why, she starts taking over one sector at a time.
Keep an eye on our release schedule page as the next book Mandatory Duty, should be out very soon
